What is "2S" in LGBTQ2S+ ?

The term "Two-Spirit" is a culturally specific term used by some Indigenous people to describe someone whose gender identity, spiritual identity, and/or sexual orientation includes both masculine and feminine spirits, or neither. The term acknowledges that Indigenous peoples were the first to build communities that honored sexual and gender diversity in North America.  The Government of Canada includes the 2S acronym to refer to the community.
